About Press-On Nails: Everything You Need to Know

Kutieverseland Press-On Nails: Everything You Need to Know

How to Apply Your Press-On Nails:

1. Prepare the Nails:
Buff your natural nails lightly with the included nail file. This roughens the surface slightly to help the press-ons adhere securely.

2. Tidy Your Cuticles:
Gently push back any dead skin around your cuticles using the provided cuticle stick. This step maximizes the surface area for the press-on nail to adhere to and ensures a clean, smooth application.

3. Clean Your Nails:
Wipe each nail thoroughly with the provided alcohol pad to remove any oils or dust. A clean surface is crucial for a strong adhesive bond.

4. Apply Adhesive Tabs:
Choose the adhesive tabs that match the size of your nails. Press them firmly onto each nail and smooth out any air bubbles with the cuticle stick. Peel off the protective top layer once they’re securely in place.

5. Position the Press-On Nail:
Align the press-on nail close to the cuticle, leaving a small gap, and press it down at a slight angle (about 45 degrees). This ensures the press-on sits naturally and securely on your nail.

6. Press and Hold:
Continue pressing down on the press-on nail to ensure a snug fit without any gaps or bubbles.

7. Final Check:
After all the nails are applied, inspect each one to make sure they are securely attached. Gently press down any edges that may have lifted.

How to Remove Your Press-On Nails:

1. Soak:
Immerse your nails in warm, soapy water for 10-15 minutes to loosen the adhesive.

2. Loosen the Edges:
Use the cuticle stick to gently lift the edges of the press-on nails.

3. Peel Off Gently:
Starting from the sides, carefully peel off the nails. If you encounter resistance, soak them a little longer to avoid damaging your natural nails.

4. Clean Residue:
Once the nails are removed, use the alcohol pad and cuticle stick to clean off any adhesive residue from both your natural nails and the press-ons. Store your press-ons in their original packaging for future use.

How to Measure Your Nail Size:

1. Measure the Width:
Place a measuring tape or an adhesive strip across the widest part of your natural nail.

2. Mark the Points:
Mark where the edges of your nail touch the tape.

3. Measure and Compare:
Measure the width in millimeters (mm) and compare it to the sizing chart to determine the best fit for your nails.

Sizing Tips:

• Majority Rule: If the majority of your nails (e.g., 6 out of 10) fit into one size category, such as size S, it’s best to select that size for the entire set.

• Choose the Larger Size: If your nails fall between two sizes (for example, 5 nails fit size M and 5 fit size S), it’s usually better to choose the larger size (M) and file them down to fit comfortably. A slightly larger press-on can be adjusted, but a smaller one might cause discomfort or not adhere properly.

FAQs:

Q: How long do press-on nails last?

A: With proper application and care, press-on nails can last between 1 to 3 weeks. To ensure they last as long as possible, apply them to clean, dry nails and avoid activities that involve excessive exposure to water, like swimming or washing dishes for extended periods, especially within the first few hours after application.

Q: Are press-on nails reusable?

A: Yes, press-on nails can be reused if removed carefully and cleaned. Make sure to remove any adhesive residue before storing them in their original packaging. This will keep them in good condition for future applications.

Q: Are press-on nails damaging to natural nails?

A: When applied and removed correctly, press-on nails are a safe and non-damaging alternative to acrylics or gel nails. Be sure to follow the removal steps carefully to avoid any harm to your natural nails.

Q: Do you offer custom sizes?

A: Currently, we offer four standard sizes: XS, S, M, and L. Custom sizes are not available at this time.

Q: What if my nails don’t fit perfectly into one size category?

A: If the majority of your nails fit into one size (e.g., size S), it’s best to choose that size for the full set. For any nails that don’t quite fit, select a slightly larger size and file it down for a perfect fit. Filing down a larger nail is more comfortable and secure than trying to force a smaller one to fit.

Q: How can I make my press-on nails last longer?

A: To extend the life of your press-on nails:

Avoid Prolonged Water Exposure: Limit extended exposure to water, especially in the first few hours after applying your nails.
Heat for Better Bonding: You can lightly use a blow dryer on a low heat setting after application to strengthen the adhesive bond.
Proper Application: Make sure you apply the nails at a 45-degree angle, pressing firmly to avoid air bubbles. This creates a more secure fit.

Q: How should I store my press-on nails?

A: Store your press-on nails in a cool, dry place, preferably in their original packaging, to protect them from bending or scratching. Keeping them organized will also make them easier to reuse in the future.

Q: Any special tips for preventing damage during application?

A: For the best application results, ensure your nails are completely clean and dry before applying the press-ons. Apply gentle but firm pressure, and press from the cuticle toward the nail tip to prevent air bubbles. Avoid using excessive force to prevent cracking or bending the press-on nails.
